Albert Algieri, long-time resident of East Quogue and beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many, passed away at the age of 91 on March 28, 2026.
Al was born in Brooklyn on October 31, 1934 and spent many years rising through the ranks of the New York printing industry. From humble roots, he always possessed a remarkable work ethic and eventually owned his own successful printing company.
Al leaves behind a long legacy of community service. He loved East Quogue and the surrounding area, and spent many hours volunteering with local organizations. He was the president of the East Quogue Civic Association for many years and dedicated his time and energy to numerous local causes in which he believed strongly. He cherished the bonds he formed with his fellow residents over their shared passion for our community.
Most importantly, Al loved spending time with family and friends and found great joy in bringing people together. He enjoyed entertaining large groups, visiting family, and most of all, watching his children and grandchildren grow up.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 2, from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Werner-Rothwell Funeral Home, located at 60 Mill Road, Westhampton Beach, NY. A Prayer Service will take place on Friday, April 3, at 9:00 AM at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Westhampton Beach, NY.
