Alfred Robbins Valentine Jr, of East Quogue, passed away on August, 6th 2025 after a long battle
with cancer. Robbin was loved by everyone who knew him and was cherished by his family,
lifelong friendships, and long island community.
Robbin was born in Glen Cove, NY and was the youngest son to Mary Woods and Alfred Robbins
Valentine. He grew up between East Williston and Quogue, with his parents, sister Barbara and
brother Rick. Robbin went on to receive a BFA at the Maryland Institute College of Art, and MFA
in Photography at The University of New Paltz, to then work as a professional photographer and
artist in Manhattan. Later, Robbin moved on to work with his father at The Valentine Agency in
Mineola NY, eventually taking ownership of the 110 year old family business. He was a lifelong
member and term president for local Rotary and Kiwanis Clubs in Bayville and Mineola, as well
as the Nassau County Historical Society.
Most importantly, Robbin was a father who put family first. He spent his spare time with family
and friends swimming at the beach, on his boat, or on the golf course. His kind, easy going
nature was always accompanied with a smile and a laugh.
Robbin is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Stefenie: His children, Jessica (Spouse Len
Whitney) Abbie (M. Ashley Armstrong) Ashley, Grant (M. Hawley Walker) two grandchildren
Logan and Blakely, and their dog Noodles. Calling hours will be held in Westhampton Beach at
the Werner-Rothwell funeral home on August 15th from 4 – 8pm with words of remembrance
shared at 7pm.
