Andrew John Sheahan

Andrew “Drew” Sheahan, December 5, 1971 - August 10, 2021 Drew Sheahan has left behind a world that is bigger, kinder, and unimaginably better for it having him in it. He passed after a long battle with numerous illnesses, a stroke, and injuries. He fought bravely for longer than any person should ever have to fight. He leaves behind his mother, Christine, brother Denis, sister-in-law Andrea and niece and nephew Denis and Hana. He is predeceased by his father Denis. A graduate of Westhampton Beach High school and then Hobart College, Drew’s life was notable for, among many other things, the number of long term friendships he maintained over decades. To be in Drew’s life was to be family. To be hugged by Drew was to feel loved, no matter your difficulties or imperfections. His many, many friends remember the humor, the selflessness, and charm that made any day with him special. Drew had a smile that could hint at mischief, could show pure joy, could remind you from across a room that you shared the world with this amazing person. It has been said that you can judge a man by the company he keeps. When it comes to Drew, a slight change is required. Drew could be judged by the number of people who knew him, and chose to keep his company. His loss is felt by many from around the world. Family, life long childhood friends, and a large, multi-generational group of college friends whose wide circle has a hole in it that will never be filled again save for the memories that Drew had a large hand in creating. May he find peace and rest, and may all those who live on after his death find some small solace in the fact that this man they all so loved was loved by so many.
