Charles Joseph Schiwautz is survived by loving wife Mary Cullen Schiwautz, devoted son Mac Schiwautz, sister Laura Schiwautz Wooden, many sister-in-law's and brother in-laws who loved him as a brother, Cousin Geraldine Schiwautz, as well as several nieces and nephews. Charley had many dear friends from childhood who were like an extended family to him, in particular Joseph Purcell who was like a brother to Charley. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank the Westhampton Fire Department where Charley worked for the past two years. During that time they treated him like family. We are especially appreciative because during these trying times they were always there for Charley and continuously reached out to him, as well as his family.

A Mass was held on Friday at Church of the Immaculate Conception in Westhampton Beach.
