Biography:

Born: October 10, 1954 Died: August 10, 2019 Age: 64

Deirdre A. Towle, known as "Dede" to family and friends, of East Quogue, passed peacefully on August 10, 2019. She was 64.

Dede graduated with honors from Mitchell College in New London, Connecticut, and received an Associate Degree in Business Administration. She went on to graduate from Southampton College in May 1975.

In October 1976, she married James Towle at the Bellport Country Club. She and Jim began their married life in Center Moriches and then moved to West Bayshore, where their two boys, Christopher and Kevin, were born. In 1993 they moved to their home in East Quogue. The boys were actively involved in a variety of sports throughout their childhood - Dede always on the sidelines cheering them on. Her boys were her pride and joy.

A dedicated teacher's aide in Westhampton Beach for 20 years, she was caring and compassionate. She greeted everyone with a warm smile - a bright light to work with, always giving to others. To have known Dede is to have experienced love, strength, and generosity. She will forever be remembered for the things that she loved to do, as well as for the love that she spread to others through her kind gestures. Her gentle spirit will remain in our hearts forever.

John T. Bates, her father, predeceased her. She is survived by her mother, Nona Bates; her beloved husband James; her son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Emily Towle; son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Amy Towle; her grandson, Nicholas Towle; and her brother and sister-in-law John and Maria Bates.

Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Werner Rothwell in Westhampton Beach. Dede will be laid to rest at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Center Moriches.
