Edward Archer Clapp

Edward Archer Clapp, March 5, 1947 – November 23, 2025

Edward Archer Clapp ("Ed") of Manorville and Ormond Beach, Florida, died peacefully on November 23, 2025. He was 78 years old.

Ed attended Brooklyn Technical High School, where he studied electrical engineering. He later attended Pace Institute (now Pace University), switching his focus to accounting. Ed later built a successful career in finance, becoming a respected compliance officer. 

In 1970, Ed met his wife Mary Jane. They married on September 2, 1972. Ed and Mary Jane raised their family on Long Island in Coram and later East Setauket, before moving to Manorville.

Ed was a man who loved numbers, sports, movies, and trivia. His children and grandchildren have countless memories of his loving spirit. Ed is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Jane; his sons Edward and Christopher; his daughter Kristen; and six grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 29, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., with a service to take place at 11:30 a.m., at Werner-Rothwell Funeral Home, located at 60 Mill Road, Westhampton Beach, NY. Interment will follow at Westhampton Cemetery.
