Emil J. Misisco, Sr. passed away peacefully at home on December 26th at the age of 96.
Born in Long Island City, New York, Emil was the youngest of Michael and Antoinette's five children. He attended Brooklyn Poly Tech High School and served in the Navy for two years. After his service, he attended Brooklyn Poly Tech College on a GI Bill.
Emil's business career began at the Bulova Watch Company. He later served as Staff Vice President of Quality at North American Philips Corporation for 37 years until his retirement in the early 1990s. His global business travel was extensive, with yearly trips to Europe and Asia.
In 1952, Emil met the love of his life at a church dance in the Bronx. They married a year later and remained inseparable until she died in 2018.
Together, they raised five children (and married): Michael (Kathy), Mariellen (Keith), Matthew (Marie), Thomas (Karen), and EJ (Carrie). Emil and Pat resided in Scarsdale and spent almost every summer in Quogue, NY, with his children, their 13 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren who survived him.
Emil will be remembered as a quiet, intelligent gentleman and an avid reader who was always impeccably dressed. He cherished spending time at the beach with his family and had an unlimited love for his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom he wanted to ensure knew he was their "best friend."
