Helen Suzanne Tuohy

Helen Suzanne (“Suzy”) Tuohy of Mount Vision, New York, and formerly of Sag Harbor died at her home, with family at her side, on June 8, 2023. She was 62. She died from symptoms associated with chronic lung and pulmonary disease.

Suzy (Batcheller) Tuohy was born in Riverhead, NY September 23, 1960. She was the daughter of Edward J. Batcheller and Helen “Sis” Jagger Batcheller.

She was the beloved wife and partner of Edward Tuohy, who predeceased her in 2022, and loving Mother of Timothy (Moriches, NY), William (Mount Vision, NY), and Edward (Mount Vision, NY) Tuohy. She was the daughter of Helen Jagger Batcheller (deceased) and Edward J. Batcheller of Westhampton, NY.

She is survived by her sons and grandsons Jonathan and James, and her brothers Edward A. Batcheller (Westhampton, NY) and Gordon R. Batcheller (Petersburgh, NY), and her Father.

Suzy Tuohy graduated from Northport High School, NY in 1978, became a Licensed Practical Nurse, and worked at Southampton Pediatrics, and later as a nurse with the Laurens (NY) Central School District.

Suzy enjoyed spending time with her family, making jewelry, and cooking.

A service for friends and family will be held at 2:00 pm at the Jagger Family Cemetery at 141 Montauk Highway, Westhampton on July 8, 2023.
