Joan Gilhooley

Joan Gilhooley, retired vice president at Leo Burnett Advertising, died peacefully Monday, May 31 at her home in New York. She was 91.Prior to being named a vice president in 1988, Joan was supervisor of TV production and office manager for creative services. A long time veteran at Leo Burnett, Joan was known as their “Godmother” and “the catalyst for a mixture of high efficiency and mutual respect.”She enjoyed travelling, the opera and ballet. Her true love, however, was always her family and dear friends.She is survived by her brother James, sister in law Sally and nephews James and John. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Independent Group Home Living, Manorville, New York.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021 from 3:00-5:00 PM at the Werner-Rothwell Funeral Home, located at 60 Mill Road, Westhampton Beach NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 11 AM at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Westhampton Beach, NY. A burial will follow at Westhampton Cemetery.
