Thomas R. Fenner of Westhampton and Fort Pierce, FL passed away on October 13th after a long period of declining health.
He was born June 12, 1940 to Bayard Jr. & Doris (Benedict) Fenner in Montclair, NJ and grew up in Center Moriches. At the age of 12 he lost his left leg, but never let it stop him from doing what he wanted. After high school he went to work in the hotel industry in Palm Beach, FL. He also worked for Jerry Finkelstein at the N.Y. Law Journal and attained his entrepreneurial spirit. In 1970, he purchased the Quogue East Pub and 50 years later it is still in operation. He was a licensed real estate agent, managed the Montauk Yacht Club, owned commercial fishing boats, had a backhoe for landscape work, raced sailboats, and most of all loved life.
He is survived by his wife Barbara and the light of his life, son Richard. His brother, Bayard “Skip” Fenner III is residing in North Carolina. Burial was at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
