V. Charlotte Kuroski
East Quogue resident V. Charlotte Kuroski passed peacefully at home on July 9, 2021. Charlotte’s given name was Veronica C. McGarry when she was born in Greenpoint Brooklyn March 5, 1929. As a young girl her family summered on Eastern Long Island where she enjoyed swimming in the surrounding waters and often shared early memories of sailing with her family on Peconic Bay. She was blessed to have been in the water this past summer with her great grandchildren.
Her family moved to Westhampton Beach in 1942 where she then attended school and met her husband Andrew G. Kuroski. After graduation, she worked at the County Seat in Riverhead until she married Andrew in 1950.
Charlotte is survived by her children Kathy Sweet, Elizabeth Haupt, Andrew (Such) Kuroski, Robert Kuroski and their spouses. She enjoyed spending time with her 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who visited her often.
Even in Charlotte’s 92nd year of life, she was an active member of the East Quogue community and often did volunteer work. Her life was full of many good friends and she always remarked how fortunate she was to have all of them.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the East Quogue Fire Department or East End Hospice.
Services will be held at the Werner-Rothwell Funeral Home, 60 Mill Road, Westhampton Beach, NY on Tuesday, July 20 from 4-7 PM. Memorial Mass on Wednesday, July 21 at 10 am at the Church of The Immaculate Conception RC Church, Westhampton Beach.
