Victoria Ruth Skeris

Victoria Ruth Skeris was born July 9, 1959 in Lynbrook, NY and died July 2, 2022 in Nesconset, NY. She was the first child born to Carl Robert Skeris and Margaret Frances Skeris. Vicki moved with her family to Remsenburg, NY in 1970, where she enjoyed the beach, sailing and music.
After a drowning accident at age 16, Vicki was left with a permanent disability but was still able to graduate from Westhampton Beach HS in 1978. Vicki was a lover of music, and despite her accident, she never forgot the lyrics to her favorite classic songs of the 1970’s. Vicki was quick to smile and laugh, and brought joy to those she encountered. She loved her family and enjoyed every moment she spent with them.
Vicki is survived by her parents, as well as four siblings—Russell Skeris (Fran), Ginny Kunik (Bob), Karen Davis (Jack), and Jeff Skeris (Molly), as well as six nieces, two nephews, and one great-niece, who all loved her dearly.
Viewing will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Werner-Rothwell Funeral home, 80 Mill Road, Westhampton Beach. Viewing 1-3pm and 5-7pm. Private interment to follow.
